I have now a School House in course of erection that will be ready by the 1st of September for a Teacher. The benches will be but shabby affairs as it is only a temporary concern built of logs. My aim is to make the Schools of this Sub Dist. Self Supporting & to this end I have chose lots of Land wherever the colored people numbered the most & making that the Centre have taken a circle of four miles [[crossed-out]] no [[/crossed-out]] including all the the people embraced in that circle as supporters of that particular School, by this means each School will have an attendance of 80 & 100 Scholars. I have appointed Boards of Trustees to raise subscriptions on paper payable when the crops are gathered as in no instance save the one above quoted are they forward enough with their work to build temporary houses
This one will be 30 x 40 + will answer for Church & school House & as soon as the Crops are gathered I will be able to collect money enough to
