O.S.F.S. Recd D 20 Columbia Aug 9/67 Duggan P.F. S.A.C States whites looks at the subject of educating the freedman with interest. Some have given lots of ground one has built them a house & the planters at Chances Praries has given them a church at Columbia they are building a church S.A.C. has been oblige to close 2 schools because the cotton crop has been a failure and the preacher has received no pay for there services Headquarters, Bureau R.F., and A.L., STATE OF TEXAS.
