and kindred stuff is very alarming to the people of this section. Yet there are a few fair minded and right thinking men here who favor educating the Freedmen and will use their influence in behalf of their interest. 

They understand the importance of intelligent labor to the country: and the consequences if the laboring class is kept in ignorance and vice.

A couple of schools can be organized and sustained in this country by a little effort.

One at this place: the other at Kentucky Town fifteen miles east of this place.

A suitable building can be had here at fifteen dollars per month. No trouble about boarding at 25 dollars per month.
