The freedmen are very anxious for a school in fact some of the citizens are anxious to see the good work go on. for there are a few radicals here of the Thad Steven and Brownlow stamp who would like to have this section of country settled up with a better breed of dogs.

If you can do anything in the way of books just send them on 
a teacher too if possible
