in the family of a planter, consequently Mrs. Henderson has not yet had a school. During the month of June two schools have been taught on plantations by colored persons. One by Burrill Davis and the other by Harriet Smith. The Post office address of both of them present is at Wharton Texas. Reports of these schools will be forwarded as received.
