Respectfully returned to Lieu J.T. Kirkman. Being unable to visit the points refered to within, the only information I have is from Maj Mayer and chiefly set forth in the with report.

School could be organized if teachers could be employed

Maj Mayer was authorized to employ Mrs. Laura E. Wortham at a salary of $25.00 per month, with the promise of increased pay should she prove an efficient teacher & organize a good school. I would respectfully recommend she be appointed by the Bureau.
