Sir:
I have the honor to acknowledge the reception of your [printed] communication of May 27" 1867, propounded several questions, & requesting answers to the same. In reply -

"The number of Houses hired for School purposes &c".. One Room.
"Name of Farm & County in which each is situated." - Liberty - Liberty Co.
"From whom Rented." - Ross Nelson. freedman
"Amount of Monthly rent & when rented." - $5.40 per Month. March 1" 1867.
"Length of Lease" - from Month to Month. at option of the S.A. Comms
"If repaired by Bureau at what expense." - No repairs - No Expense,
"The number of private schools not under control of the Bureau," One - three miles from town. has four Pupils. (Night School only.) taught by freedwoman,
