Lieut J.T. Kirkman 26 Infty
A.A.A.G and Supt of Schools Bu R &c
State of Texas

Sir:

I have the honor to recommend that the building on Solidad St in the City of San Antonio known as "Murphys Store" be leased for the term of one year or less, for school purposes at the monthly rental of $10.00 the capacity of this building is double that of the one rented from John Fries, (vacated July 1, 1867). It has several rooms which enable the Teachers to more properly classify the school.

The Teachers notified me July 1st of their intention to continue the School on the self sustaining basis, under the provisions of Circular No 6. C.S. Head Qrs. Bu R.F. & A.L. Texas. I therefore immediately moved the schools to Murphey's Store, it being the cheapest and most desirable building obtainable.

I am Sir
Very Respectfully
