One private school is in operation in this city with from fifty to sixty scholars. I have rented a building in this city for school purposes, and as soon as it is fitted up, it is the intention to consolidate two of the larger schools, and make a graded school. The children appear to be quite eager in their desire to learn, and seem to be improving rapidly in their studies.
