E. M. Wheelock
Supt of Schools

Sir
I have the honor to report the condition of the freedmen's school, at this place very favorably, the teachers Mr and Mrs Coleman are very attentive, the school is increasing in point of numbers and rapidly advancing up the hill of education. as you will see by their report for February. Their system and discipline cannot be excelled, and all who and their children are well pleased.

I, also am pleased to say that your selection for so important a point, of such worthy teachers, make the duty a pleasant one of assisting and protecting them and their well regulated school
