A.A.A. G. B.R.F. & A.L.
State of Texas

Sir:
In making my report of operations under Special Orders No 77 I omitted mention that on my way hither from Bell County I stopped "en passant" at Georgetown, Williamson County (adjoining Travis County) where the freedpeople have already purchased a house and lot for School purposes — the building is 20 ft. by 30 ft. is out of repair and the freedmen solicit aid in repairing the same for immediate use. The amount of repairs is estimated at two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) Specie. There are in this vicinity about fifty children who can attend school. Much anxiety is manifested and the Sub. Ass't. Comm. for the County, Lt Richardson has promised to represent them and their wants to your Office The people generally, the "semiconstructed" — are said to be friendly to the proposed schools

Very Respectfully
