Inc. 3 East 51st Street NEW YORK Dear Mr. Seligmann, In reply to your letter of 19th inst. we herewith have the pleasure to inform you, that we forwarded to-day under separate cover ( as printed matter ) a photograph of our picture by Jacques Louis David. It is painted on canvas h. 122 cent. w. 96 cent. (48" x 38"). This beautiful, vivid and charming sketch is painted in a red tone. All experts admire it and Mr. Sterling of the Louvre Museum in Paris, who saw it here some days ago, is enthusiast about this painting and in his opinion it ought to be acquired by a French Museum!
