January 10th, 1938

Dear Mabel:

A little neighborly note as I do not seem to be able to get you on the telephone.

If you are in town again, I wonder if you could spare a few minutes as I would like to talk to you about one of the most beautiful portraits by Winterhalter that exists and show you a photograph of it--if it is not too much trouble for you, phone me before you come to be sure that I am in at the galleries.

Thanks for your Christmas card. I hope you started the New year with a bang, and with every good wish for 1938, I am

Always faithfully,
(R.H. Waegen)
