My dear Holabird,
I thank you for your little note in which I read with regret that when you come to New York you come but for a few moments. However, seeing you under these circumstances would be very much more appreciated. Let me know ahead of time so that we can have lunch together - lunch being a necessity by a waste of time, anyway.
It would probably very much interest you to see my home which is entirely in Parisian Modern. We can perhaps have lunch at home, if it suits you. It would be adding a note of interest to the qualifications of the aforesaid luncheon, and give me the great pleasure to see you again.
Kindly believe me

Very truly yours,

John A. Holabird, Esq.,
