Dear Doris
A very mild & sunny day has dawned & hope you have the same, so your outing will be enjoyable for you all, as Sunday seems the only day that Sidney gets to enjoy his fossil collecting and Doris her Fishing & you the painting. lucky, you all have hobbies otherwise you would be stranded.

I am glad the dresses arrived & they so pleased you, even if they werent the right fit. now I am working on your dress, the skirt is finished its hard for me to get things straight, little things bother & guess at my age its hard for me to remember also I am thankful for being as able as I am, if one uses their faculties they dont rust out naturally.

I got a post card from Lena yesterday. she does not forget her friends. the family is fast dwindling. but still she seems to be courageous. she is very fortunate in having so staunch a friend as Jimmie. she never has failed her or gone back on her.
