Stoughton Nov 13th 1941

Dear Doris
After a cold wind all day yesterday our thermometer went down to 28 degrees this morning on the back porch & in places even lower. I wont wonder if they had snow farther north. this mornings temperature is about the coldest we have had yet. no one likes snow it makes slippery going. the sun this morning makes it warmer I am writing this letter in a warm room where I stay most of the time on the couch in the front room.
I received yours & little Doris letters also the insurance paper Sidney sent back & must get her to take it down to J Bogers & get the return policy. Mrs Barry turned her ankle & cannot walk very well. she is tending the church fair & thats about all she can see to at present. the Darlings were to the fair last night & he told her all about the Wabbs & how they put the Oil heater out of commission before they left. they always do something before
