says she is the dumbest thing she ever saw. she is made so much of at home she is awful silly & it spoils the child. she laughs at nothing & is too bold. there are a lot of little tots three years old they are cute as they can be. Laura & Mrs Barry met down at the church yesterday afternoon to drill them. they had the time of their life & both said they were surprised to see how they took to it. they were all ages from three years to 10 one was naturally musical & another a born actress. they think this play will be a great success & will make a hit. Mr Bradner is a born actor, they were greatly surprised. he enters right into it. this acting is a great surprise to them all. they will make money this time, every body wants a ticket, Laura is well known she knows how to put on a play & loves to do it.

I was glad to get Wallaces letter but he is an awful writer it pleased him to have you call on him in your vacation. the poor old man he has out lived most all of his relatives thats the bane of living too long. Our rain of last night wet us down so this wont be caused by children going out with their punkins [[pumpkins]] over halloween night. I walked over to Hazel Drakes. I didnt know of going Sunday night Mrs B missed me & so was hunting me up. she would have gone too. If she had known I was going.
