Dear Doris

We are having warm weather still. yesterday it looked like rain all day but we didn't get a drop. the wind blew a gale all day. Over the radio a lady from Weston asked the people to ride out to her place & see an unusual sight for the time of year, a cherry tree in full bloom. it never was know before in October. it would be a rare sight & well worth seeing.

Mrs Williams came over in her car last night & brought over some clams they got down to Duxbury yesterday. so she is making a clam chowder for dinner. & this afternoon she will go over there to celebrate Mrs Williamses birthday. a party & a surprise to her.

I will be busy serving, she has the best of times with them, they are a jolly set & Mrs Williams is coming after her & he is on to the party & will be there to help them celebrate. he likes fun & has retired from business
