Dear Doris

We are having warm sunny days this week, the thermometer goes up to 80° on the porch then I suppose any time if the wind changes it will be cold again. every where the foliage is getting more beautiful fruit trees are in bloom a very pretty time of the year. but we should get heavy rains to stop so many woods fires. it says showers for to day they may come as it clouds in occasionally.

The flannel for the pajamas came yesterday now. I am waiting for the pattern which you spoke of sending which as yet has not arrived.

My lawn has just been mowed the Leonard boy came last night & mowed it just before dark. he is a bashful boy & all he says is OK but attends right to his work.

I picked a few sprays of spice bush and put them in water out in my kitchen do you know they scent the whole house they are far ahead of my forsythias they last longer
