then took you out of school so you would not catch them. it was in the winter. I had reason to dread them because I was so sick with them. mine was an unusual case lots of children get up too quickly. they get cold so the only way is to be careful. spring will come quicker down there in a week or two. they dont have them as hard these days as they used to when I was a child.  This is Friday "fairest or foulest". Mrs B is going down to choir rehearsal to night with the Reynolds this is the first pleasant Friday she has had for ages so she appreciates it. she was greatly praised by them all when she sang Sunday they met at her church & it was packed. they are going to all meet at the Universalist church the next time. I think this union sunrise meeting a good thin, it draws the people nearer together. they are not so narrow as they used to be. a good thing if they could unite. there are too many churches in this little town one cannot support so many. Percy sings in the choir. he worked at his new job up to church time he had no time to go home, so came to church in his overalls, but no one knew it after he put on his vestments. he is very loyal to his church. Alice is getting along well Myrtie dont call up as often as she used to when Alice was away we dont mind. as Careta says when you know people be on your guard. Ma
