Dear Doris
I received your letter & little Doris Saturday morning. I am glad your Christmas was so pleasant & you had your tree. now its a thing of the past. I never knew so pleasant a day. Thanksgiving here there was a plenty of snow but since then it has been rain & Earthquakes. the latter were mild but we never know when they will change to toppling chimneys & breaking windows. but theres no use in worrying. in this life theres always some thing to dread. from now on we have got to have Pasturized milk, after the first of January its against the law to sell raw milk. the flavor is very different. I never drink it, so it does not matter so much. dont send me any Calenders we have half a dozen already Miss Shieber sent two. Perdiago gave us one, very handsome one all framed with a little thermometer to tell the temperature of the room. then
