FIRST COLUMN Columbia SC Sept 2. 1868 D. 343 ACSC 1868 Deane E.L Disbg Officer States that building No 229 Meeting St will not be required by this Bureau after the 10th inst. SECOND COLUMN Respectfully forwarded to Col Edie, with the observation that rent should be paid up to the end of the month. It may suit the convenience of the Govt to dispense with the building on the tenth of the month but certainly not without notice. A house thrown on a Landlord land without notice is an injury not comtemplated by law or any sound dealing. The undersigned therefore respectfully claims that the rent should be paid him for the month of Sep - as his THIRD COLUMN due in law and justice. Very resepctfully Geo.
