In obedience to Special Orders No. 22. from your office I have the honor to render the following report of investigation into the complaints made by Joel M. Whetzell of Reevesville in regard to the division of crops on his place, and the repayment of advances made by him to the freedmen working thereon. I find that two families worked with Whetzell, viz. Harry Hood's family consisting of eight persons, and Harry Manego's family consisting of seven persons: and with Whetzell's son-in-law (W.P. Dukes) on the same place, two families viz Joseph Green's and Dennis Vins, in all six persons,
