day enclosed note (:B:) asking information as to whom complaints against Military Officers for Breach of the Peace etc. etc. are to be referred. I did not consider his letter as worthy of notice, but the whole Court Considered it an attempt on Barkers part to intimidate them in the discharge of their duties.
On the 30th of Dec. last, I received enclosed letter (:C:) asking the same information and intimating that "the Conduct of the Officer may make it necessary for him to prosecute the Matter".
Now this is surely "blackmailing" I think he again attempting to intimidate me with his threatening letters, to abstain from doing my duty, and to give verdict in his favor. 
I however have done my duty to the letter, and now up comes that letter to General Clitz, dated
