Thompson Fair, freedmen, and John H. Wilson, counsellor at law.

[[underscore]] Fourth: [[/underscore]] (see annexed agreement "A.") Freedmen Samuel Jones, Thompson Fair, and Henry Titus, placed in Mr. Allens hands the sum of $120.00 for the purpose of purchasing articles at Charleston to be sold at Abbeville during the holidays. They have never received articles or money in return.

[[underscore]] Fifth: [[/underscore]] Selling Government property, and applying the proceeds to the payment of his private account.

On the books of J.J. Cuningham, merchant Abbeville is credited to Mr. C.S. Allen, on his private account as follows: Novr 22d, 1867. By 12 prs Shoes @ $200 - $24.00 Mr. Cunningham, states Allen requested him not to mention this transaction and that they were the same kind of shoes as those issued to freedpeople, and that Allen, stated that this was allowed to a certain extent to meet expenses, and he would let him have the shoes at the invoice price. 

Witnesses: J.J. Cunningham, R.J. White, book keeper, and the books of Cunningham's store.

[[underscore]] Sixth: [[/underscore]] /Freedman Samuel Jones, states that he is Secretary of the League, and as such had charge of monies. The League, vacated a house they had rented and $37.50 was placed in the hands of Mr. Allen, this being the amount paid back as overpayment of rent by Mr. Wm Moore, owner of the house. Mr. Allen, absconded with this money.
