The State of South Carolina

At a quarterly session of the District Court of Williamsburg on the fourth Monday in October A D 1867

Quash Ragin a person of Colour is accused for that on the fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven in the said District feloneously and steal take and carry away from the field of one Samuel B Gordan six water mellons valued each of the value of twenty five cents of the goods and chattels of him The said Samuel B Gordan against the forces of the act of the general assembly of the island Shall in such case made and provided and against the peace and dignity of the same State aforesaid

And the said Quash Ragin is also accused for that on the day and in the year last aforesaid in the said District has the said Quash Ragin did feloneously steal take and carry away six water mellons each of the value of twenty fine cents of the goods and chattels of the said Samuel B Gordan against the Peace and dignity of the same State aforesaid
