                                                              WARRANT OF ARREST. 
                        JOSEPH WALKER, AGT. PRINT., NO. 3 BROAD ST., CHARLESTON


The State of South Carolina. 
Williamsburgh District. 
By Saml W Maurice Magistrate in and for the said State. 
TO ANY LAWFUL CONSTABLE or the Sheriff 
WHEREAS, complaint upon oath has been made unto me, by Minda Fraser that Bennet Gordon did on or about the 5th September [[strikethrough]]at[[/strikethrough]] [[strikethrough]]in the District and State aforesaid, on[[/strikethrough]][[strikethrough]] one[[/strikethrough]]last commit an assault and battery upon her without sufficient cause or provocation and that Sampson Fraser, Plenty Pino & Quash Ragin are material witnesses. 


THESE are, therefore, to authorize and require [[strikethrough]]command[[/strikethrough]] you to apprehend the said Defendant, and the said witneses
and bring them before me, to be dealt with according to law.

AFFIDAVIT. 
The State of South Carolina
Williamsburgh DIST[[strikethrough]]RICT[[/strikethrough]
PERSONALLY appeared before me Minda Fraser [[strikethrough]]a Magistrate of the said State who[[strikethrough]] being duly sworn [[/strikethrough]] upon oath says: that Bennet Gordan 
did [[strikethrough]]at[[/strikethrough]] on or about 5th day September [[strikethrough]]in the District and State aforesaid,[[/strikethrough] A D 1867 commit an assault & battery upon said deponent by striking her Several times with a stick without sufficient cause or provocation, contrary to the peace and dignity of the state and Sampson Fraser, Plenty Pino & Quash Ragin are material witnesses to prove the fact.
