Grove Landing, back of Bulls Island on Seewee Bay on the 23d inst. A boat of 4 feet [[strikethrough]] draft can [[/strikethrough]] draught can land there, and which I respectfully request may be sent up.

It should be done immediately as the people on the place are in a very destitute condition. Mr. Guilleaume has failed to supply them with rations and they have in consequence failed in their labors.

If this property is is not held until sold I have every reason to suspect it will be attached. I suggest this as inquiries have been made here and to prevent the freedpeople from finally losing what is justly due them for work performed in raising the last year's crop.
Yours Respectfully
Your Obt Servant
