Petition of citizens of Walterboro So. Ca. stating that there never has been a school for colored children at that place. That about 200 children would take advantage of a school, and requesting that an appropriation may be made for the construction of a suitable house at that place.

I would recommend the appropriations of $1000.00 for the construction of a School House at Walterboro S.C. I have been informed by the Hon Geo McIntyre that he will donate a suitable lot to be held by a board of trustees for School purposes forever.
