Last evening I was told (by one who seemed to know) several things which threw a different light on the aspect of affairs.

To explain — The Methodists, have been trying to build a church here for a year — it is now up but not finished. He says they are going to get $500 from the Bureau to finish the Church and then have our school there — This is my fifth year in this work — three of the terms my school was in a church, till now my health makes it impossible for me to do so again. It is too hard for weak lungs to use the voice so it can fill a high church — Too hard to teach without desks, and other necessary school furniture which is scarce enough where we are & cannot be put in the church.

Our school numbers over 130 with new applications daily. Three teachers
