This is the place that I wrote you about Sometime since they have their House ready, you stated in reply to my letter on the subject that you would furnish them a teacher when one could be had. I mention this thinking perhaps that the matter has escaped your memory. They would like a Male Teacher and one that understood the business.

I hird from Glenn at San Marcos this week. His school is out and he will not commence another until the Cotton is picked. I wrote him representing that he would let me here from him.

There is a great big double fisted freedman by the name of Scipio McKee who called in my office a few days since who informed me that he was going to get an appointment from you,  to look after the interest of school &c. This man is quite unpopular in this county and would do no good here. He is a blowhard.

I believe I have toutched at about every thing that I can now remember.
