Agreeable to promise I write to inform you that I not only decided to come North but have acted upon the decision - leaving Galveston Fri the 8 inst - were delayed in Canton Miss - 12 hours reaching Chicago Tues. Morn had as pleasant a journey as anticipated but the heat & dust were almost intolerable-
