I have the honor to say that the Freedman School at this place is doing very well. The freedman appear to manifest a favorable opinion uppon that subject, Prof Mise I think is a very good Teacher. He of course has to bare with many insults from certain persons. But his School mooves on unmolested in other respects. Altho by some it is very much envyed. There is only one School in this the 39th Sub. Dist. at this time
