The blocks & Sills the colored people are getting them theirselves & also can raise $200.00 in Specie. The material for covering such a house will cost $30.00 that is the Shakes. hinges or set cost 50 cents door locks $2.50 a piece. I will send you a copy of the deed & a certification from the County Clerk in regard to the deed. This deed is not a warantee deed as you may see. This deed could have been made a warantee deed but the Rebel that sold it would not give such a deed. The County clerk said that it cannot be molested. 
I do not know whether this letter will do any good or not but if it does no good there I feel that I have done my duty in letting you know how this matter stands here.
