Dear Sir

Your letter of the 29th of April is recd.  I have accepted your Proposition concerning the School at Navasota; I have engaged a building 70 x 25 L.x.W suitable for a School, in a short Period if I am Successful I will have Everything in and about the school in first Class Order.

The Revd J Reinhardt: was absent when I arrived at Navasota, and will be absent, about '3' weeks I understand,  When he returns, I will report his action regarding my school, I have Confidence in you; rendering me all the Assistance the Bureau will allow, to aid me in this Matter; if so I will Fix a School on a good Substantial footing; by Diligence and Attention to my Duty; I hope to enjoy Success; Any Communication you, think Proper to Send me; will be Answered with Promptness.
