Dear Sir,
I can at last inform you that the last desk was finished this P.M. and fastened to the school-house floor after school tonight. We had the use of part of them last week so we could begin the writing class. The scholars were very much elated at the prospect of being permitted to write. The desks are a wonderful improvement to the school in more respects than one.
As far as I am capable of judging I think the work is well done - as well I suppose as we could expect from the materials furnished to work upon. I did not have Robert make the table as the lumber was not sufficiently seasoned and the want of it [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] no inconvenience
