E. C. Bartholomew

Dear Sir.
The work on the schoolhouse was finished last Monday and I sent the vouchers to Mr. Stearns to sign as Mr. Stevenson requested.
I close school 24th of this month and shall start for my home soon after.
I presume the check for the "rent" will not be sent in time to reach me here, if you think best you can send it to me at Ottawa, Ill. Box 630, and I will send it to Miss Ass'n,

Very Respectfully,
Martha E. Green

Transcription Notes:
Edited - it makes sense if words are correct, Miss Assn is for Missionary Association, teachers paid the rent on the school houses, Few questions throughout the passage. Some parts do not seem to make sense, however, they do seem to be written correctly.
