Sir:

In some of the School houses to be transferred to Trustees, &c., there is School furniture (desks, chairs, black boards, &c.) which is bound on the returns of Officers and Agents of this Bureau as Government property.  There are also small amounts of such property scattered through the country; most of it is well worn and probably not worth the cost of selling.  As this property has been furnished under the head of "Construction and Repairs," I respectfully request that the Commissioner have authority to transfer it with the School houses, and to instruct his subordinate
