I have the honor to transmit you enclosed the school report of Mrs. Harriet Smith. She only once received in my sub district. 
Her pupils numbering thirty five (35) are progressing well though but possessed of a limited education. Mrs. Smith is a desirable teacher in as much as she is very attentive to her scholars and particularly so as to their moral conduct and general behavior. 
Her school is shaded in the [[?]] [plan?] there- some three miles or so from Wharton and I think it desirable that she should contrive to teach in the same place. 
As there is good reason to believe that a a crop will be raised this season I [[?]] in strong hopes of being able before long
