Nov, 13th 1869

Brother Welch,
I take this opportunity of Sending you word that I cannot comence the work of Repairing the school house until I can get the money to Buy the maitirals [[materials]], the merchants in town are so very particular. They cant hardly [[wear?]] their own clothes. I am working at another job, it will be two weeks Before I am done with it But if I can get the money I will comence the school house. Right after, as my sons are coming home this week. I will put them to work at it, Please write & let me know about it soon as you can.
