Rev. Mr. Welch,

Dear Sir,

It seems impossible for me to get a letter from you. This is the fourth or fifth that I have written and yet no answer.

If you have not already gone I wish to know if you will take my boy Evie on North to any point where my sister Helen can meet you & take him. Me to defray expenses, or more grammatically expenses defrayed by me. Me being objective I am in earnest, having soured on Texas Morality Texas Education & Texas politeness. Now having answered this tell me when do you resign & leave next. Tell me plainly whether I had better report to your successors & what I shall do about those country lands.
