E. C. Bartholomlew Esq.

Dear Sir,,

Yours of the 17th inst containing blank receipts [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] with checks for teachers and for house rent is received. Herewith I return the receipts signed, and thank you for the "greenfaces".

I understand that we are to account to the A.M.A. for all money received from you. These checks are so many dollars subtracted from the salary the A.M.A. is to pay us.

Miss Nickerson will give heed to your suggestion relative to the spelling of her name by Gen'l Balloch.

We are holding forth in the new Academy with success.

Yrs Truly
Warren Norton.
