I wish you to inform me if this house has been turned over to the parties as represented in the letter herein sent you. I send you the original & keep copy.
I will state that after Sen. Pridgen left here Judge B[[obscured]]den & myself had the freedman come to my office and here they agreed that the Methodist should occupy the house two Sunday in a month & the baptist two and we though all settled but Leach the Elder comes in such & holds a meeting the proceedings of whom you can read, and excludes the baptist, and thus it stands now.
I wish you to forward brief of this to Court at Washington - or this if you think best. But I have written in haste to you and rather you send a brief. I want the thing settled.
