Office S.A.C B.R.F &c
Richmond, April 30, 1868.

Lieut. J.P. Richardson.
A.A.A.G.

The feeling upon the subject of Education is good, the Bureau has generously granted the sum of $550.00 for the finishing of the School house at this place.

It is with great difficulty that the people here support their teacher, on account of their poverty. They, indeed, require entire help unless their pro rata of the School fund is given them from the State.

Very Respectfully SC
(Signed) Wm. H. Rock.
