All the old schools are in operation and the following new ones have been started, one at Georgetown, Williamson Co. Teacher Mrs. Julia O'Connor  one at Circleville, Williamson Co. Teacher, Luanna Higgleton (Col)  1 Free Night School in Austin taught by Harry M. Taylor.  1 Day & night school in Austin taught by J G. Billingsley. The feeling of the people relative to the education of the freedpeople displays itself in the abuse of the school teachers & the difficulty experienced in getting boarding places for them, — The Citizens (Col) of Circleville propose building a good school house in that place, and may perhaps require some assistance
