The feeling of the whites is hostile to the education of the colored people, and in consequence of it the white ladies teaching school cannot obtain boarding places, The School house at Circleville was burned down Saturday night June 27th the colored people proposed to subscribe $200.00. for the erection of a permanent School house at Circleville. 

Misses Fannie Campbell and E.M. Evans have resigned and the building rented from John Hiran has been given up. The school at Circleville was in a very prosperous condition when the School house was burned
