The freed people receive no help from the whites on the subject of education - on the contrary. More colored schools would be established I think but for fear of white people interfering. The freed people at Victoria are going ahead with their school. They have one hundred twenty five scholars in day and night school. As soon as winter comes I shall have to divide the school as there will be many more scholars by that time.
