in the Town of Gonzales but I am informed it is declining. I think it quite probable that the Town of Belmont in Gonzales Co. and its immediate vicinity would support a good school.- these one or two Neighborhoods in this County - I may say many localities in this County where if proper efforts wer made schools could be established. the whites do not encourage any efforts in this direction, and the freedmen need the superintendance of some active intelligent person to induce them to form Schools

Is the Bureau prepared to send teachers to Any locality when there is a probability of a School being formed?

Bureau will supply teachers as fast as they can be found and wishes to know of schools needing them.
