As to the whites wishing to educate the freed children they are not going to do it; We have had a school here for the past three months, 1st & 2nd mos. average attendance 35, and this month only 7, for the very reason that the freedmen are unable to pay tuition fee. In Oct. the school will be closed for want of funds.
