I have the honor to report for your information that I am using every endeavour to establish a freedmans school at this place, but cannot start a school for want of a teacher. Having utterly failed in obtaining an place in Marshall for the lady, you wrote about, to board I would respectfully Suggest that if you have not Sent her elsewhere before now, that she would come on here. I think there would not be any difficulty in getting a boarding place for her, and I can assure her a good large School. The great want is competent Teachers. I regret to inform you
